Enoch Brown to Henderson J. Waller

This indenture made and entered into this the 24th  day of January 1880. Between Enoch Brown and Mary Brown his wife of the first party and Henderson J. Waller of the second party all of Barren county, Ky. : Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty seven dollars. One hundred dollars in hand paid to Jacob Dillon, the first party has this day bargained , sold and by these presence do sell and convey to the second party a certain tract or parcel of land in Barren county Ky on the waters of Peter’s Creek and bounded as follows: Beginning at a White Oak David Waller corner on a branch: thence meandering up the branch S70 E 3 poles S 20 E 20 poles S 65 E 29 poles to a black oak Thomason’s corner thence with his line N 24 E 56 poles to a poplar his and Waller’s corner thence with Waller’s line N 14 ½ E 107 poles to a black oak gum and dogwood thence N 56 W 48 poles ti a black oak and poplar in W. W. Bell Line thence with the same S 19 W 132 poles to a stone thence S 9 W 25 poles to the beginning. Containing fifty- four and a half acres, to have and to hold with all the appurtenances to the said H. J. Waller and his heirs and assigns ___ ( receiving the rite of way and free ___ from the south side of the said branch to a spring on the North side ) and the first party bind themselves heirs and assigns and to warrant and defend to above against the claims of all persons in witness whereof the said Enoch Brown and Mary Brown his wife who unites with him in the above conveyance and release all rite of dower and homestead in and to the above conveyance have hereunto set their names this the day and date above written.                              Enoch Brown   /seal/

I, W. W. Franklin Clerk of the Barren County Court hereby certify the foregoing deed from Enoch Brown and Mary Brown his wife to H. J. Waller was acknowledged bt the Grantors thereto before J. G. Neighbors and acting deputy clerk for me as will appear by the endorsement of said Deputy thereon in words and figures as follows: 1880 January the 24th acknowledged by Enoch Brown and Mary Brown separate and apart from each other J. G. Neighbors D. C.  And the 25th day of June 1880 filed in my office for record and the the same and this certificate have been this day duly recorded.
