Nathan Huckaby to Wm. Bewley

This Indenture made this 10th day of March 1829 between Nathan Huckaby of the county of Barren County and State Kentucky of the one part and William Bewley of the County and srare aforesaid withnesseth that the said Nathan Huckaby for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell __ and confirm unto the said William Bewley all that tract of land situated lying and being in the county of Barren on the waters of Barren River and bounded as follows _: Beginning at a Bucky corner to a __ Williams head right thence North 36 East 100 poles to three beeches thence North 79 East 170 to a stake, thence South 20 West 120 poles to his corner on a beach [as written] thence to the beginning. Containing 150 acres be the same more or less and the said Nathan Huckaby for himself his heits assigns executor or administrator unto the said William Bewley his heirs assigns be against the claim of all and any persons whatsoever will forever defend the title to said land together with all and singular the appertanances [as written] thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. In witnesseth whereof the said Nathan Huckaby hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date first above written.

We, Robert Lampke and Asa Young two of the county Justice of the peace for said County so certify that Patsy Huckaby this day personally appeared before us and being examined by as privately and apart from her husband as the law directs do of her own free will and consent relinquish her right of dower of to the within tract of land and the same is hereby certified to the clerk of the County Court aforesaid where the promises be given under our hands this 10th day of March 1829.

The foregoing deed of conveyance from Nathan Huckaby to William Bewley was proved before me to br the act and deed of said Nathan Huckaby by the oath of Joseph Hogg and Thomas Bewley Witnesseth thereto whereupon the aforesaid deed the certificate relinquishment of Dowers, thereto ___ this certificate hath been duly admitted to record im my office this 13th day of March 1829.                           W.
