This indenture made and entered into this 12th day of April 1852 Between Joseph Huckaby Jr. In the County of Barren and state of Kentucky of the one part and Amerigo Landrum, Loammi Whitney and Lewis Peck of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Joseph Huckaby have this day for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant bargain, sell and convey into the said Amerigo Landrum, Loammi Whitney and Lewis Peck Trustees of the Peck Free School district No. 26 appointed by the citizens of said district and for the use and benefit of said school. One certain lot of ground, containing two acres more or less. Beginning at a gum and dogwood near Pinchleys line thence South 38 1/4 East 28 poles to a chestnut and white oak Pinchley and Frances corner, thence with Frances line 41 West 28 poles to two chestnut and white oak near the line thence to the Beginning , with free access to my spring at the Old Still House ( be the each quanity of land more or less) lying and being in the county aforesaid on which the school house now stands- to have and to hold aforesaid described lott[as written] of land unto them the said Landrum, Whitney, and Peck for the use of said School District aforesaid and their successors forever and The said Joseph Huckaby for myself my heirs and to covenant and agree to and with said Landrum, Whitney, and Peck Trustees as aforesaid that shall and will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the aforesaid lott[as written] of land free from the claim of all other person or persons whatsoever unto them the said Landrum, Whitney and Peck and to their successors for the use of a School aforesaid forever.  I , Travis Cockrill clerk of the County Court for said county certify that this deed from Joseph Huckaby Jr. To Trustees of School District No. 26 was on this day acknowledged before me by said Huckaby to be his act and deed wherefore the same and this certificate have been recorded in my office, given under my hand this 1st day of November 1852.
