Barren Co. Ky Deed Book # 13 pgs. 382-383 This indenture made and entered into this the 7th day of December 1878 bettween Henderson J. Waller and Susan S. Waller his wife of the first part and Thomas A. Waller of the second part, all of Barren County and state of Kentucky. Witnessth [as written]: that for and in consideration of the maintainance [as written]of the first party during their natural lives. by the second party the first party has this day bargained, sold, and conveyed and by these presence do sell and convey to the second party two tracts of land in Barren County Kentucky on the waters of Skegs [as written] Creek. the first tract or parcel of land containing fifty five acres . The same conveyed to H. P. Waller by J. N. Mathews and wife and recorded in Deed Book No. 8 page 256 and adjoining P. B. Thomason and D. M. Atkinson and the second tract or parcel of land , bounded as follows;Beginning at a poplar in the lane near the house S 50 E 38 poles to a white oak thence North 13 E 8 ½ poles to a black gum Atkinson corner, thence N 63 E 4 poles to a beech Atkinson corner, thence N 27 ½ W 16 poles to a white oak Atkinson or Whaley corner, thence S 86W 29 poles to the beginning, containing two and 1/4 acres. To have and to hold __ the said Thomas A. Waller his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of ____ warranty. It is expressly understood that in consideration of the above that the said H. J. Waller let the said Thomas A. Waller have four head of horses, 23 head of sheep and eight head of hoggs [as written] and one mule and the five ___ of corn and hay oats and fodder. 3 hed [as written] of cattle and 2 beds and it is further understood that at the death of the said H. J. Waller and Susan S. Waller that the said Thomas A. Waller has to pay the heirs of H. P. and Susan S. State of Kentucky Barren County { sct I, W. W. Franklin Clerk of the Barren County Court do certify that the foregoing Deed from H. J. Waller and Thomas A. Waller was acknowledged before J. G. Neighbors an acting deputy clk for me as appears by his endorsement therein as follows .1878 December the 7th acknowledged by H. J. Waller and Susan S. Waller separate and apart J. G. Neighbors, D.C. And on the 12th day of Dec 1878 was filed in my office for record and that I have duly recorded the same and this certificate in my office. Witness my hand this 12 day of Dec. 1878. W. W.
