This indenture made and entered in to this the 23rd day of December 1880, between Thomas A. Waller of the first part and H.J. Waller of the second part, all of Barren county Kentucky, Witness to, that for and in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the first party has this day bargained and sold and by these presence do sell and convey to the second party two tracts or parcel of land in Barren County on the waters of Skeggs Creek[as written]

The first conveyed to Thos. A. Waller by H. J. Waller and wife and recorded in Deed Book # 13 page 382 in the Barren county clerk office and adjoining P. B. Thomason and D. M. Atkinson

And the second tract bounded as follows : beginning at a poplar in the lane near the house running S50 E 38 poles white oak thence N 13 E 8 ½ poles to a black gum Atkinson corner thence N 63 e 4 poles to a beech Atkinson corner thence N 27 ½ W 16 poles to a white oak Atkinson and Whaleys thence S 86 W 29 poles to the beginning containing two and one fourth acres to have and to hold to the said H. J. Waller his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of General Warranty

in witness whereof the said Thos. A. Waller hereby release all rite[as written] and title in and to said land in witness whereof have hereunto subscribed his name this day and date above written.

I, J. A. Murray Clerk of the Barren county Court, certify the the foregoing deed to H. J. Waller was on the 23rd day of December 1880 acknowledged by Thos. A. Waller to be his act and deed, before J. G. Neighbors an acting Deputy Clerk for W. W. Franklin a former Clerk of the said Court, as appears from his endorsements thereon as follows “ 1880 December 23rd acknowledged by Thos. A. Waller by W. W. Franklin C.B.C.C. by J. G. Neighbors D. C.” And was on this day filed for record in my office and the same and this certificate have been recorded in my office.
