John Franklin to Isaac Moore

This Indenture made this 21st day of November one
Thousand and eight hundred and twenty three between John
Franklin of the one part and Isaac Moore
of the other part, both of the County of Barren and State
of Kentucky. Witnesseth that foresaid in Consideration of
the sum of Two Hundred and fifty Dollars current money in
hand paid and the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and the said others is requited from the Same, The said Franklin
hath bargained and sold and by these presents and doth
has gave Sale and Consign unto the said Moore
in certain tract or parcel of Land, stated in the said
County of Barren and State aforesaid on the waters of
Sinking Creek Containing forty two Acres and bounded as
follows: N Beginning at a Walnut running along a
conditional line North 48 East 166 poles to a Stake and
Branstetters line, thence, with Branstetters line
South 15 70 set 164 poles to two Black Jacks his corner.
Thence South 45 West 42 poles to Branstetters
line thence with his line South 29 70 set 28 poles to a
Creek; thence North 15 West 37 poles to a Post Oak and
Black Oak thence North 20 East 45 poles to a Pin Oak
thence North 24 West 23 poles to the Beginning and the
said John Franklin will current and
forever depart the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with
all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging,
or see any wise appertaining unto the said Isaac Moore,
his heirs and assigns forever, against the claim of heirs
the said John Franklin and his heirs and
assigns, and all previous claiming by this, and under him
and from the claims of all and every other persons, or
persons whosoever unto the said Isaac Moore, his heirs
and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof the said John
Franklin hath hereunto set his hand and affixes his seal
this day and year first above written.

In desk of the county clerk for the County aforesaid do
Certify that this deed of Conveyance from John
Franklin to Isaac Moore was on
the 21st day of November 1823 acknowledged before me by
the said John Franklin to be his act and
Deed and thereupon the said Deed of Conveyance & this
Certificate was entered of Record in said office.
