John Wyatt Will

In the name of God Amen. I, John Wyatt of the county of Barren and State of Kentucky considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect in mind and memory blessed be almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following ____ .

First,  I give and bequeath unto my daughter- in-law, Martha Wyatt one hundred acres of my land wherein she the said Martha now lives being the South Eastwardly end of my lands to hold to her the said Martha Wyatt so long as she remains a widow or during her natural life If she remains a widow and at her death or marriage to be equally divided between her four sons to wit: John, Radford, Joseph, and James M. Wyatt to be equally divided among them , their heirs or assigns forever at my decease. I do also give and bequeath unto my only sister Martha Wyatt, single woman all the balance of land with the appertained there unto belonging stated in the aforesaid County and State and on the waters of Peter’s Creek to have and to hold the same peaceably and unmolested her natural life time with the privilege to do with as may seem best for her and at her death to be equally divided between my four grandsons to wit; John, Radford, Joseph, James M. Wyatt or their heirs forever. But be it remembered that my four granddaughters to Wit; Rebecca, Sarah, Mary, and Martha Wyatt are to share equally in the benefits on the said land during their single life or whilst they remain unmarried and lastly as to all the rest residue and remains of my personal estate good and chattel of what kind and nature so ever  give and bequeath unto my said sister Martha Wyatt after my death with the privilege to dispose of as she may seem right to her, at her decease.

 I do hereby appoint Seth Bradshaw, and R. P. Steenbergen executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former will by me made signed, sealed and declared by above named John Wyatt to be his last will and testament in the presents of us who have hereunto _____ our names as witnesses in the presents of the two______

Barren county court_____ July term 1857 the foregoing writting perporting to be the last will and testament of John Wyatt deceased, was produced in court and proven in due form of law by the ____ of Joseph Steenbergen and Benjamin Cotton subscribing witnesses thereto whereupon the same___ ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of said John Wyatt (deceased)
