Lawler of the county of Barren and State of Kentucky knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life and feeling it my duty to make some disposition of of [ as written] my earthly effects. I hereby make and publish this my last will and testament (to wit) 1st It is my will and order that my niece Nancy Catherine Munday have and hold all of the personal or perishable property that I may own at the time of my death consisting horses, cattle, mules, sheep, hogs, and farming utensils and the feed and provisions on hand and also my growing crop if any. 2nd I will all of the cash and cash notes that I may have to the aforesaid Nancy Catherine Munday and Thomas Finley Munday Jun.[as written] each one to have one half of the said cash and cash notes and if the aforesaid Thomas F. Munday ( Junior) should die before he arrives at the age of twenty one years, then all of said cash and cash notes belonging to him that has not been used is to fall back to the aforesaid Nancy Catherine Munday. And now having disposed of all of my earthly effects I hereby appoint Nancy Catherine Munday administratrix [ as written] without bond or security and I further appoint Henry Clay ____ Guardian for Thomas F. Barren County Court September Term Sept. 17th 1894 The foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Samuel F. Lawler deceased was produced to court abd files on the above date and was proven in full by the oaths of J. W. Taylor and W. B. Arnett the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be established as and for the last will and testament of said Samuel F.
